Mile Marker 7.5 on HI 240
Aloha horse riders!
Thank you for booking with us, we appreciate you so much during this time. Waipi’o valley is closed…for now. Here is the scoop: We’ve taken the horses out of Waipi’o to WOH Ranch. Same tour times, same price, same check in location, a little longer in the saddle at 2 to 2 1/2 hours, but now instead of shuttling our guests down into the valley we check you in at the ranch, walk you to the corral, get you in the saddle and head up mountain side.
This tour is beautiful!
A 500 acre mountain to ocean working cattle ranch including ocean views. We ride through a large coconut orchard, banana groves, and fishponds. We go alongside the historic Hamakua ditch and up into pasture blooming with purple flowers, tunnels of guava and iron woods. There are baby sheep, horses, and calfs right now during spring!
Please give me a call if you have any questions, I would love to hear from you. We will have pictures of this new tour up on the website soon!
If you’re not a horseback rider check out our ATV Activities at WOH Ranch.
This scenic UTV tour allows travel through many different landscapes, from fertile gardens and a working livestock ranch to sweeping grasslands, oceanfront, and tree canopies. Enchanting wildlife abound, both on land and in the water, and the views of WOH Ranch inspire awe from start to finish.

“Waipi’o on Horseback is one of those “once in a lifetime” experiences. The Waipi’o Valley floor is verdant, lush and lovely and traveling on horseback is a wonderful way to experience the tropical beauty first-hand. Our guides were extremely attentive and knowledgeable. . .they gave us what amounted to a horticultural seminar while leading us along the trail. I highly recommend this experience.”
“It was an absolute blessing to witness Waipi’o Valley while horseback riding. This family owned business is kind, caring, considerate, informative, and entertaining. I appreciated the joke-telling as we descended the steep road before reaching the stable. The horses are very well trained and cared for. I felt very safe, and appreciated learning about the land, fruits, plants, and sacred waterfalls. Thank you for making my solo adventure be a great one with lovely company.”
“What a fun and relaxing activity! Mica our guide was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The trail was beautiful with a view of the valley walking through streams amongst wild horses. The flora and fauna was gorgeous and Mica made the experience that much more enjoyable with his relaxed demeanor. I highly recommend this place.”
