Aloha and welcome to W.O.H. Ranch, home of Waipi’o on Horseback, now celebrating over 30 years of guided horseback riding tours on the Big Island of Hawai’i. We are committed to sharing our love for horseback riding and the great outdoors and strive to preserve both for future generations. We value our riders from near and far and look forward to experiencing the remarkable raw beauty that is Hawai’i Island with you.  

Whether venturing into the legendary Waipi’o Valley with majestic waterfalls and sparkling streams or to the panoramic ocean views of the Hamakua Coast with forest gardens, fishponds, and curving canals, we offer unique guided tours that are sure to create cherished memories for you and your loved ones. 

Our horses are friendly and well trained. We will select the best horse for your experience level. The tours are suitable for beginner riders and we can accommodate kids 7 & up. 

The surrounding views are stunning and we have celebrated momentous occasions like marriage proposals and wedding vow renewals on sunset private excursions. 

Our wranglers are experts and like to “talk story” with you, they share the legends of the trails and point out plants and animals along the way. 

The W.O.H. Ranch Ride  is the ONLY tour in Hawai’i where you can ride alongside cattle and our breeding herd of horses. 

Don’t want to ride? All good! We offer one-on-one horse petting and grooming to foster therapeutic bonds between horses and people. This is a great experience for younger kids and larger families who want to learn more about horses and interact with these remarkable animals.  

W.O.H. Ranch stands as a private, family owned ahupua’a, a traditional Hawaiian land division extending from the mountain to the sea, a rare gem of history and a beauty to explore. When you ride with us, you are supporting a small, locally owned business.
